In My Mailbox (4)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! Here's what I got this week in my mailbox.

{For Review:}
 I was so excited to receive this is the mail this week! This is on two of my challenge lists for the year, and I've been waiting to read this one for forever. It's due out on April 5th, 2011.

{Bought:}
I cannot wait to read this! I've heard so many good reviews that I couldn't resist buying my own copy. The reversible cover is gorgeous!

I also just wanted to mention that I got my awesome little swag pack in the mail from Steph @ The Thoughts of a Book Junky for participating in the A-Z Reading Challenge this year. I received a postcard, and a couple of signed bookmarks. So awesome! You should definitely check out the challenge if you haven't already.

And now for a special vlog segment of this week's IMM. I went to my local booksale, and bought a lot of books. I apologize in advance for how many times I say 'um'. ;D Oh, and the really bad lighting. I tried to get it as bright as possible.

And sorry for all the mispronunciations! I'm so bad with getting names right.

Interesting note, I found a note in Mr. & Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy that said it was the "worst book I've ever read", and a torn out magazine article about Twilight in The Host. It's funny what you can find in used books.

So that's what I got this week. What's in your mailbox?

  6. Oooh, great haul, Liz (and for 22 bucks? EPIC)! I think out of all of the ones that you picked up the only ones that I've read are The Great Gatsby (which was for class) and The Book Thief which was omgsogoodthatIcried. I love Markus Zusak. You'll have to tell me what you think when you read the Vampire Academy books. I haven't read them either, but have been thinking about it for a long time now. Thanks for sharing your video, and happy reading! :P

  7. @Emi: I know, right? I would've spent more, but I ran out of room in my bags. XDDD I've sort of read The Great Gatsby. My English teacher always liked to read passages, do a project, and then watch the movie version. I figure with a new movie coming out, I better read it for real.

    I cried too! HOMG. Such a sad book, but I loved it. And I'll definitely be posting what I think of the Vampire Academy books. ;D I've always been intrigued since the first cover girl looks like Angelina Jolie. :p (And thanks - it's my first real video of any kind, so I was totally nervous about posting it.)

  8. Wow, wow, wow for all of the great titles you got at the sale. I really really liked The Book Thief .. really ... I hope you like it as well. I also received Kat, Incorrigible for review (love the middle readers - my Bebe Boy James totally enjoys the read-together time!)The VA series is likely the next series for me to buy for my Not-So-Bebe-Girl Autumn, as she's still working through the House of Night series books (temporarily interrupted by her stealing my ARC of Delirium and holing herself up in her bedroom with it this weekend). Enjoy all of the reads!

  10. You got some great books this week Liz! I'm in the middle of reading Across the Universe right now and picked it up because I'd read so many good reviews. I'm only about halfway but enjoying it so far. Can't wait to see what you think!
