In My Mailbox (11)

No video again this week. I really wanted to, because I got some really awesome things this week, but time just got away from me. The weekend is just never long enough, is it?

None this week! (Kind of glad too - my reading pile is massive right now!)

{BOUGHT}
So after finishing Anna and the French Kiss last week (review to come!), I immediately went and purchased my own copy. I am planning on forcing this on everyone. I also stopped by a local used bookstore in town, and happened to find three of the missing Black Dagger Brotherhood books I was missing, as well as the first in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. And, randomly, I decided to go with my parents on their visit to our local Sam's Club, and naturally went into the book section. While I could have bought a lot, I settled for the bound edition of the Balefire series. I haven't read them before, or honestly hear much about them, but they sounded really good, and I love bound editions.

And I promised myself I wouldn't check anymore books out until I'd read the ones I had, but I couldn't resist. Both of these came back on the same day, and I've wanted to read both of them. It was totally a sign.


And probably the coolest thing I got all week! A while ago, I won a runner-up prize pack from Novel Novice for their anniversary contest of epic. And it came this week! I got a bunch of stunning Novel Novice bookmarks, and some amazing Wicked Lovely temporary tattoos. I got a bunch, so I might give some away. ;D

    Haha yes. I bought a copy of Anna for my Nook, but I HAD to get a hard copy of it as well. :P There can't be enough ANNA love in this world. :)

    I am banning myself from the library as well. Too many books that I already own but have not read yet. :/

    Great set! I want to start reading Darkfever and the BDB books. I still need to by Anna and the FK. I loved it. I think I'm going to by it for my parents and then take it back once they've read it.

    Gah! Everyone is talking about how amazing Anna and the French Kiss is...I seriously need to pick it up and read it soon.
    I've been wanting to read the Fever series, as well, since again, pretty much everyone says they are awesome.

    Okay, so I'm super excited to hear your thoughts on Anna and the French Kiss. That book was just BRILLIANT! St. Clair! <3

    I read and loved Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan, so I've been thinking about giving her other books a try. I hope you have fun reading all these!

    @Cialina: My library checkout ban is pure torture since I work there. I have to pass the shelves with new books dozens of times a day. :(

    @Kristi: I definitely couldn't resist it when I saw it in the used bookstore. Too good a price to pass up. ;D

    @Alison: Lol! My mom is the first person I'm forcing Anna on.

    @Eden: It's absolutely amazing! I hope you love it when you get it.

    @Jessica: Do it! I didn't think I'd like it that much, with all the hype and everything, but it was amaaaaazing.

    @Amber: Thank you! And you should definitely read Anna. It's amazing! I'm so excited to finally read Warped too.

    @Brodie: Lol, I think my review is just all fangirl squeals. It was ridiculously good.

    So glad you picked up the BDB series, not sure if you've read some of the series before but you picked up my three favourites! YAY I started with Lover Eternal and loved it and then adored Lover Awakened 10 times more lol all three are great reads and J.R. Ward is a great writer. I also flew through DarkFever, such a compelling world with so many twists and turns, the narrator Mac irritated me quite a bit in the first book, but I have since forgiven her :p Happy reading
